    About This Program

In a dynamic and constantly evolving global economy, one of the greatest challenges for organizations is making timely decisions regarding strategically important factors. The program provides an integrated view of accounting and budgetary control as management tools, aiming to share a set of knowledge that contributes to better decision-making. There is not only a concern about how to generate management information but also its interpretation in a context of change. Techniques will be addressed to bring accounting closer to human resource management, driving the achievement of objectives. This program can be combined with the Management Control: Advanced program and, by completing both programs, you can obtain an Advanced Certificate in Management Control.

Why Nova School of Business & Economics?

Nova School of Business & Economics sits at the intersection of rigorous quantitative research and applied management practice, built on a Portuguese-language economy that punches well above its weight in international trade, finance, and consulting. Its Carcavelos campus, opened in 2022, was purpose-designed for collaborative executive learning in a way that few purpose-built business school facilities in Europe can match. For a senior professional who wants the intellectual credibility of a triple-crown school with direct access to Atlantic-facing markets, Nova SBE is a specific answer, not a generic one.
