This course consists of the following modules: Module 1: Greenhouse Gas Emissions Solutions, led by our Subject Matter Expert, Chris Lambe. In this module, we’ll take a close look at the primary sources of greenhouse gas emissions in the agri-food sector, with a special focus on Scope 3 emissions, which account for the entire life cycle of products—from production to disposal. Module 2: Ecosystem Services Solutions, led by our Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Marty Matlock, from the University of Arkansas’s Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. In this module, we’ll explore essential tools, such as global and regional water indices, that help assess agriculture's impact on and contributions to ecosystems. Module 3: Biobased Materials Solutions, led by our Subject Matter Expert, Rachel Owen. In this module, we’ll dive into the remarkable versatility of soybeans and how the soybean processing industry maximizes value by utilizing both the oil and meal components to create complementary food and fuel products—minimizing waste and boosting sustainability. Module 4: Sustainable Farming Practices and Solutions, led by our Subject Matter Expert, Andrea Brossard. In this module, we’ll delve into the sustainable practices that farmers use every day to enhance the resilience and efficiency of their operations. Module 5: Supply Chain Solutions, led by Dr. Kevin Dooley, Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University. In this module, we’ll trace the journey of sustainable soy from the farm to end users, uncovering who the primary buyers of sustainable soy are and the specific sustainability practices they value.
