    About This Program

    In an era where sustainability is no longer a choice, effective management of greenhouse gas emissions is crucial for mitigating global warming and achieving corporate sustainability goals. By now, many leaders and managers understand that carbon management needs to be integral to their strategy, and need to learn how to integrate carbon management into their corporate strategies from the outset. Through this course, you will learn to manage the initiation and transition of carbon initiatives throughout the organization using materiality assessments of different environmental sustainability initiatives, climate risk scenario planning and nature impact evaluation on different environmental sustainability policies. You will gain an overview of the carbon credit industry and understand the dynamics of both compliance and voluntary carbon markets to be able to develop applications and insights into carbon management. You will learn where possible opportunities lie through integrating of carbon management strategies into corporate strategies to be an advocate for environmental sustainability in the organization. As a leader you will also know how to leverage carbon markets to finance projects and to maintain a competitive advantage by being able to evaluate social and environmental impacts of your investment decisions using frameworks and standards used for measuring and reporting on environmental impact e.g. IFRS Sustainability-related Disclosures Standard, Greenhouse Gas Protocol etc.
