    About This Program

The characteristic dynamics of a board, particularly in relations with different stakeholders, are complex and require mastering various interpersonal skills. The program provides the development and structuring of intuitive competencies into structured and analytical ones in managing negotiation and communication processes, inclunding an analysis of the business model and the impact of prudential ratios, as well as the decision-making process in boards. This program has a pragmatic focus, including three subject blocks: financial reporting, decision-making, and negotiation. This program can be combined with the Corporate Governance: Boards Leadership Program and concluded with a "Practice-Based Track" to obtain an Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance, demonstrating the transfer of knowledge to the business reality.

Why Nova School of Business & Economics?

Nova School of Business & Economics sits at the intersection of rigorous quantitative research and applied management practice, built on a Portuguese-language economy that punches well above its weight in international trade, finance, and consulting. Its Carcavelos campus, opened in 2022, was purpose-designed for collaborative executive learning in a way that few purpose-built business school facilities in Europe can match. For a senior professional who wants the intellectual credibility of a triple-crown school with direct access to Atlantic-facing markets, Nova SBE is a specific answer, not a generic one.
