    About This Program

Encompassing private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds and private credit, the Alternative Investments industry is rapidly growing in scale and relevance - accounting for ~15% of the overall global AUM. Alternatives' AUM is expected to grow globally from $16 TN in 2023 to $25 TN by 2028. In India, over $400 BN has been invested by PE/VC funds since 2013; over $60 BN has been invested by Real Estate funds during this timeframe. Over 1300 Indian Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) are now registered with SEBI with an investment commitment of nearly INR 8 lakh crores. An increasingly large number of financial institutions, entrepreneurs, family offices and HNIs, corporate finance professionals, investment bankers, private bankers, lawyers, due-diligence professionals, and advisors are getting exposed to this growing industry. This course intends to give them a practitioner's perspective of the industry to help them understand & navigate it better. The objective of the programme is to provide participants a holistic, real-world understanding of the Alternatives industry - to enable them to comprehend its inner workings as well as the opportunities and challenges it presents. The course delivery will be a combination of lectures, industry interactions, case studies and a project, with extensive practitioner insights, as well as live examples of the concepts covered.
