About This Program

This seminar on energy sector management focuses on identifying and understanding the opportunities available to Quebec managers and businesses in light of the province's new energy policy. If you want to influence and participate in the action plans related to Bill 106, this is the course for you. Developed in collaboration with HEC Montréal's Research Chair in Energy Sector Management, the course covers energy statistics, industrial structure, strategic management, market opportunities and risks, and energy market regulation in Quebec. Participants learn through discussion of lectures, case studies and data seen in class.

Why HEC Montreal?

HEC Montréal sits at a rare intersection: it is the oldest business school in Canada, yet it consistently punches above its weight on the international stage — ranked among the world's best and operating entirely across two languages in one of North America's most culturally distinct cities. For executives who want rigorous, research-grounded learning without the brand inflation of some Anglo-Saxon institutions, this is a serious alternative.
